A high decibel clash of opinions between the leaders of tomorrow.The wit matters,so does the grit.Come,have your say,because tomorrow is YOU-th.
Problem statement:
Each team(2 members) will be given a debatable topic of national or international interest. one member will speak FOR while the other AGAINST the motion.
Event description:
Round 1:Each team will have to write their viewpoint(max.100 words) on a given topic and teams will be shortlisted based on their response.
Round 2:
a).Each Shortlisted team will be given a debatable topic of national interest or international bearing.
b).One member from each team shall speak FOR the topic while the other shall speak AGAINST it.
c).The speeches will be followed by a rebuttal round where the speaker will have to fend questions from other participants.
d).judges can also put their questions.
e).The team with highest points wins and the best speaker will be awarded the “Most promising leader” award.
Judging crieteria:
Participants shall be judged based on their:
· Fluency
· Body language
· Speech content
· Quality of answers
· Sticking to the Time limit
RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. PRELIMS- The response for the question should be within 100 words limits.
2. In the next round each team should have one member speaking for the motion and the other against it .
3. Each speaker gets 3minutes time. Warning bell after 2min 30 seconds .Negative marking for those exceeding 3mins.(-2 for every 30 seconds)
4. CROSS QUESTIONING IS ALLOWED. Each speaker will get 5mins to take questions from other speakers and answer them.

Q.)What is the scope of topics that will be given??
a.) Current issues of national interest and international bearing.
Q.)How can I register??
a.)Through SMS or email to the cordinators. Also on spot registration will be provided.
Q.)Who is eligible for wild card entry??
a.) Any student who has won a similar reputed event. Wild card entry can skip prelims. All such participants can mail or contact the coordinators.
Q.)How will be winners be decided??
a.)The individual marks of the team members will be clubbed to choose the winning team. The participant with the highest points will be awarded “MOST PROMISING LEADER” prize.
